I've been working in backend for over a decade, mainly with Python and AWS. I like taking messy, fragile or hard-to-maintain systems and turning them into simple, robust and scalable solutions.

I've worked in media, e-commerce and enterprise — leading projects, mentoring other developers and taking part in architecture decisions. I'm especially interested in data-driven systems and how AI can improve products, processes and technical decisions.

Outside work I'm a dad and passionate about football. I'm an assistant coach and scout in the district of Santarém, with FPF and PFSA certification.

Besides backend, I build sites and web apps on my own — from landing pages and institutional sites to fuller web applications.
